Christmas in Edinburgh
If there is one thing we do well in Edinburgh its Festivals; from the Festival Fringe, our summer festivals, Hogmanay or Christmas we know how to throw a party and with 2017 marking a record-breaking year with Princes Street Gardens, Christmas Market named as the best in UK! 2018 is already shaping up to outdo its self again in one of Edinburgh’s most memorable Christmas festivals.
Edinburgh explodes in a festive frenzy there is so much to see and do across St Andrew Square, East Princes St Gardens and George Street as hot toddies & mulled wine pervade the air, ridiculous Christmas jumpers are worn and diets go out of the window! So, we put together a list of things to help guide you to our favourite things to see & do.
East Princes Street Gardens
A true winter wonderland packed with tasty treats and delicious European foods along with beautiful handmade crafts you won’t struggle to fill your belly or a loved ones stocking! The traditional and romantic market wouldn’t be complete without an abundance of mulled wine, hot toddies (definitely try the apple gin toddy!) and festive music making it a great location for all. The Markets open at 1pm on 17 November, close at 8pm on 24 December, are closed 25 December, open 12pm 26 December and 1 January.
The Christmas markets don’t stop on Princes street gardens and you won’t need Rudolf to guide you! Head over and see the dazzling lights, chill out by the new spectacular Ice Adventure and thrill yourself with rides for all the family on George street.
Ice Skating rink
The stunning circular ice rink takes over St Andrews Square allowing you to wiz around the Melville Monument and experience the square like never before. And If you feel like bambi, don’t worry, there is a lovely bar featured in center where you can watch from the side.

La Clique Noël
Returns home to Edinburgh for Christmas with a new seasonal spectacular, La Clique Noël – Part Deux. The show starts from 8pm 16th November – 5th January and is recommended for the 16 and overs.
