The 2017 Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival will run from Friday 14th July until Sunday 23rd July and it’s a winning line up this year! Founded in 1978, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival is one of the top ten Jazz Festivals in Europe, presenting over 170 concerts over ten days in July. We present all styles of jazz and blues with equal commitment from 1920’s jazz to emerging artists.
The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival brings some of the world’s very best jazz and blues acts to Edinburgh. Mardi Gras – Saturday 15th July 2017
One of the Festival’s highlights is the colourful Mardi Gras, which will transform the Grassmarket into a mini New Orleans for the afternoon on Saturday 15 July. This event is free to attend and there will be a whole host of live musicians and bands bringing the party atmosphere and non-stop entertainment.
Carnival – Sunday 16th July 2017
Another festival favorite is the incredible Carnival, which includes over 700 performers from around the world. Get swept up in the party atmosphere as the Carnival parade makes its way down The Mound and onto Princes Street where you can immerse yourself in music, colourful costumes, circus acrobatics and puppetry.
Chinese Carnival Show – Monday 17th July 2017
Edinburgh Chinese Art and Culture Community will present a spectacular free admission show in conjunction with the Carnival featuring the many high quality performers coming to the Festival from Beijing Feng Tai District. There will be nearly 100 performers on show for a colourful presentation of Dance, circus, music, and Peking Opera. Click HERE to reserve your free ticket now!
